INTRODUCATION
Swat Expressway a mega project was launched by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Highways Authority (PKHA) in collaboration with Frontier Works Organization (FWO) through M/s Swat Expressway Planning Construction & Operations (Pvt) Limited – a subsidiary of FWO.
The project was launched under Public Private Partnership Act 2014. It is the first Motorway to be initiated by any Provincial Government. Swat Expressway is 81 km long Expressway starting from Kernal Sher Khan Interchange and ending at Chakdara Interchange. The Expressway has seven interchanges and two Main Service Areas.
This Expressway provides easy access to districts of Chitral, Kalam, Swat and Mardan and will in economic uplifting of adjoining areas
Chairman Message
Frontier Works Organization was raised in 1966 for the construction of Karakoram Highway. It has progressed phenomenally since then and is one of the largest firm in Pakistan today specialized in multifarious fields of civil engineering. Beyond the nation frontiers, it has successfully undertaken projects in Kuwait, Afghanistan, Liberia and UAE.
In execution of projects, FWO remains committed to its motto, ‘Sustaining Excellence’ with integrity and sincerity and takes pride in cultivating the culture of quality work at no extra cost. FWO at time faces certain challenges due to its strict adherence to the code of ethics, yet unflinching resolve has earned it the respect of the clients.
